Mr. Mercado comes to us from the Roosevelt School District where he served as the Director of Physical Education, Health and Wellness since 2012. Prior to that role, he served as a physical education teacher for grades K-12 in the Baldwin School District since 2000. Mr. Mercado was a Football Coach as well as Head Coach for Boys’ Varsity Track and Field.

Mr. Mercado received his undergraduate degree in Physical Education from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. He continued his education at Adelphi University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Health Education. Mr. Mercado earned his School District Administrative degree from Queens College.
