Elena Baldwin – Principal Jericho Elementary School

    Mrs. Baldwin grew up in Queens, New York and attended New York City Public Schools. She graduated Boston College as a double major with a bachelor's degree in English and Romance Languages-Hispanic Studies. She began her teaching career in the South Bronx as a member of the New York City Teaching Fellows. She received her master's degree in Elementary Education from CUNY-Lehman College, as a member of the program.

    Mrs. Baldwin went on to teach in the Half Hollow Hills School District and at a charter school in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. While teaching at the charter school in Brooklyn, she received her Advanced Certificate in School Building Leadership and School District Leadership from CUNY-Hunter College. Upon receiving her Advanced Certificate, she became an elementary assistant principal at that school.
    Mrs. Baldwin joined the Middle Country School District in 2011 and served as an assistant principal at both Dawnwood and Selden Middle Schools. She prides herself on working collaboratively with parents, school personnel, and students. Mrs. Baldwin looks to ensure that students achieve their maximum potential, both inside and outside of the classroom. She is excited to return to her elementary school roots as the principal of Jericho Elementary School.
