Melissa Danowski – Assistant Principal New Lane Elementary School

Ms. Danowski is excited to join Middle Country as the new Assistant Principal of New Lane Memorial Elementary School! With a passion for promoting literacy and fostering a lifelong love of learning, Ms. Danowski is dedicated to supporting the growth and success of both students and staff. Ms. Danowski values relationship building and is so excited to serve the New Lane community.
Ms. Danowski comes to the Middle Country with a strong background in childhood education, having served as a fifth-grade teacher in the North Bellmore Union Free School District.
Ms. Danowski earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta. She then received her Masters degree from Long Island University, graduating summa cum laude. Ms. Danowski then went on to receive her School District and School Building Leader certificates from the College of Saint Rose. This educational foundation has equipped Ms. Danowski with the skills and enthusiasm to create engaging and inclusive learning environments.
Ms. Danowski is committed to working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and the broader community to nurture a supportive and dynamic school culture. Ms. Danowski believes that literacy is fundamental to educational achievement and personal development, and is eager to contribute to Middle Country’s mission of inspiring and empowering students.
