As an educator for over 25 years, Maria Rivera Jespersen brings her expertise in elementary education to her new role as the Coordinator for Universal Pre-K programs for the Middle Country Central School District. She began her teaching career as a second-grade teacher, then spent a number of years as a sixth-grade teacher before delving into the world of early childhood. She became part of the Middle Country family over ten years ago and has spent the last two years as our Character Education teacher for grades one through five.
Ms. Rivera Jespersen brings with her a zest for learning, a passion for forging relationships, and an eagerness to help others. She has spent years leading children through discovery, exploration, learning, and play. She is currently enrolled in the Instructional Leadership, Doctor of Education program at Saint John’s University where she continues to cultivate and grow her knowledge base to bring to this new role. Ms. Rivera Jespersen is honored to be a part of the administrative team at Middle Country.
